Haunted House = Haunted Hoax
Oct 31, 2006
Last night Zach, Jake and I went to the "scariest" haunted house in town. It was on 16th and "O" and it was not that good. It wasn't bad, but it surely wasn't good. They had a whole resident-evil-zombies-are-taking-over-the-hospital theme that they carried throughout it. It was good that they had a nice story line, but the thrill just wasn't there. Just a bunch of cheap scares with people jumping out of dark corners.I remember when my parents used to put on haunted houses in Seward for the Optimist club. They bought a house that they decked out and it was one of the biggest things to do (hey, I know it's a small town, but it was awesome). They put much more thought into everything and it was extremely elaborate. I even think the price was cut in half as well. I guess those were the good ol' days growing up.
As for tonight we got about 40-50 kids to come trick-or-treat at the 436. It's a new record surprisingly since the weather was at a record low for the last 3 years. I'll leave you with two of the best costumes that I saw this year. Cloud Strife & Chocobo on the top (Final Fantasy 7) and the creepy little guy from the Saw movies on the bottom.
