Mo Pure, Bond, and the 'Bird
Nov 19, 2006
First off, I never got to talk about the A&M game last weekend. The whole fact that someone threw a landscaping rock through my window pretty much directed my attention elsewhere.Let's look at "the catch:"
He caught the ball with one hand and one finger of the other hand. I noticed this browsing through Scott Bruhn's recap pictures and it's quite amazing. With that, I turned to the DVR to watch the end of the game, and if you watch his left hand, it's pretty amazing that he was able to spring up and get a handle on the ball with someone shoving him in the back.
I didn't see this live of course because I was driving down to Clint's wedding. When Jim said Purify caught the ball, I started to honk my horn and flash my lights out of pure excitement. Right as I did, the 3 cars around me did the exact same thing. Man I'm going to miss Nebraska ....
On to Bond ... we saw Casino Royale on Friday, and it was a very good movie. Too bad it wasn't a good James Bond Movie. Great action throughout, but the whole James Bond feel was never there. No build up on the Aston Martin, no gadgets used .... ever (except a defibrillator, yeah, that gets me pumped up), and a whole bunch of Daniel Craig with no clothes on. I mean a whole bunch. He had his clothes on while the Bond girls (if you will) kept theirs on. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that though ....
All in all, I was actually quite surprised with how well Craig handled the role. Hopefully they'll make another one that's a little better and keep him on board.
Ok, on to the Firebird. Just check the picture below:

I really am going to miss the Firebird. It was a great car to me over the years, but you have to part ways with your vehicle sometime. I'm still happy with the new purchase a few months back. I'm pretty sure the WRX will be able to get Christi and I off to the slopes better than the Firebird would.
