If that doesn't get you pumped up for the game, I'm not sure what will. Go 'Skers!

The run is done

With the Mets win tonight, they have mathematically eliminated the Braves from winning the east. The only thing that helped with this was the fact that you could see it coming from ... well, let's say April. Maybe even from the offseason. It's still tough though. I know other people out there follow teams who haven't had a winning season in 14 years, but it's still no fun when you're team is not on pace for the playoffs. Let alone hold one of the greatest team records in all of sports.

I equate this to watching Rocky IV for 14 straight years. Every year that I've popped it in, you get accustomed to the output: Rocky beating Drago. But this year (especially tonight) Rocky loses. It's just strange what you get so used to over the years.

Cheers New York. If I have to stand watching a New York team win a division, it might as well be the Mets.

Christi brought up a good point last night: Has it really been 5 years? It's unbelievable how clear that one day in history still stands out to everyone.

I'm still pumped to see the new Freedom Tower. Who wouldn't be for something that is going to be 1776 feet high? They still have a long ways to go though since the they still haven't cleared out the the initial wreckage when we saw it in may.

We'll miss you Steve. Flirting with the dangerous wildlife of the world will never be the same. RIP.
