Invites across America

states our wedding invites went to

Christi and I got through addressing all of the invites last week and shipped them out on Friday. Today was the first day that we got any sort of sign that they had reached anyone. It looks like we covered a good part of the country as well.

We'll also be traveling to that red center one (no, not Kansas) tomorrow evening. Nothing like arriving at Eppley at 1 in the morning ...

Break all ten before breakfast

I thought this was very creative. Obviously, you shouldn't try it at home (or anywhere), but it was just a good idea for a short movie.

Best job in the mountains

I know of only a few of my friends that are working and doing something that they are excited about in life. I get paid to make web sites and maintain them. There might be no better job (for me) out there (except for the Braves GM). I get to show up to work everyday and do what I love, then receive a check for doing it. I really couldn't ask for more.

I'm working with people who's average age has to be around 28 or so.

I got 3 weeks paid vacation without even working a second at Big Stone. This is actually bigger than life with the wedding and honeymoon just around the corner.

And finally, I didn't have to work today. We get the day off to celebrate Washington's birthday. That's right, I got President's day off and I don't work for USPS or a bank!

So what did I do on my day off? I headed to the slopes for the first time that I was out here. I graduated my way through ski school and was off hitting the mountain like a pro ... until I decided to move from Green to Blue routes. Man, you wouldn't think there would be much of a difference, but there sure is. I wiped out so hard once that I had snow up by my shoulder blades and half way down my pants. Either way, it was worth it and it was really fun.

Oh yeah, Christi's job rock's too because they gave me a free lift ticket to go have fun today!

Wal-Mart gets made over, looks like a barn

wal-mart looks like a barn

Apparently Wal-Mart is trying to see what types of barn-yard wildlife it can herd into the store with the new look. Maybe instead of spending money by adding timber to the front, they could use that cash and buy regular uniforms for their employees. Maybe use it to hire decent workers as well.

If you're offended by the above comment and say, "hey, I shop at Wal-Mart," just remember that Target's paying the bills. That, and I really don't know anyone that likes Wal-Mart. Most people just use it as a convenience.

5 years too late ...

A few weeks ago, I just got a DVD burner. I know that this is no breaking news or anything, but I finally felt it was the time to get one. The cool part about it, is that I was able to get one with LightScribe technology.

This is one of the coolest things I've seen lately. Well, except for the 2 concept watches I'm waiting on (here and here).

You just burn your CD/DVD, flip it, then burn the label into it. With all of my friends who keep up on the tech trends in the world, why haven't I heard about this until now? Where you at?

He's back. The Asian has landed.

I've talked with Adam this morning, and he confirmed with me that he's back in the U.S. After we all doubted that he'd actual go over seas, we then once again all doubted that he would actually come back.

Welcome home good sir.

Oh yeah ... that car we bought

2003 jeep liberty

I almost forgot to post the pictures of the '03 Jeep Liberty that we got before we left for Vegas. Good thing Christi kept reminding me because Beth wanted to see the car. So here you go everyone, just click the picture at the top.

Almost forgot

For those of you reading this in Lincoln around 4:50 p.m. (CDT) and are thinking, "man, I really need something to do in 10 minutes," go down to the Embassy Suites and go to the Husker Home Run Club banquet. I completely forgot that it was tonight.

The banquet is a great way to support the team for the '07 season, listen to Coach A give great recruiting stories, and a chance to listen to Harold Reynolds. Yo. HR people! The Home Run Club hooked it up so that he'd come and give a talk at the banquet.

With that, I guess part of your money would be going to pay for his speech tonight. If anyone goes, let me know how he was.
