Haunted House = Haunted Haux
Last night Zach, Jake and I went to the "scariest" haunted house in town. It was on 16
th and "O" and it was not that good. It wasn't bad, but it surely wasn't good. They had a whole resident-evil-zombies-are-taking-over-the-hospital theme that they carried throughout it. It was good that they had a nice story line, but the thrill just wasn't there. Just a bunch of cheap scares with people jumping out of dark corners.
I remember when my parents used to put on haunted houses in Seward for the Optimist club. They bought a house that they decked out and it was one of the biggest things to do (hey, I know it's a small town, but it was awesome). They put much more thought into everything and it was extremely elaborate. I even think the price was cut in half as well. I guess those were the good ol' days growing up.
As for tonight we got about 40-50 kids to come trick-or-treat at the 436. It's a new record surprisingly since the weather was at a record low for the last 3 years. I'll leave you with two of the best costumes that I saw this year. Cloud Strife & Chocobo on the top (Final Fantasy 7) and the creepy little guy from the Saw movies on the bottom.
